The new President of the Philippines, Rody Duterte in his recent state of the nation address (SONA) wanted to introduce the drastic measure to any government agencies especially in making the job done in the shortest period of time. He wanted any government transaction to be done in the shortest duration of three days.
In our particular agency that I work with the Department of Education (DepEd), every school, division, region, and even the national office should process any school-related transaction by adopting the “333 strategy”. And what is 333 strategy? This means that the process of any job requested by its clienteles should be done within 3 minutes to 3 hours or to the maximum of 3 days without let-up.
The old practice of bureaucracy has been done away. It only gives the government agency the image of procrastination when in fact the job request or order can be done in a matter of a few minutes or an hour. But the clientele has to wait or be under the will of the employee. The practice should be discontinued as promised by President Duterte.
Now, it is the first of August. This 333 strategy is now being implemented. No more delay. No more waste of time. No more bureaucratic way of service. Everything should be one fast but efficient to satisfy the end-user. This effective time management would generally benefit the public.
