Getting Traffic From Backlinking and Internal Linking

There are various ways to get traffic to your content, one of them is backlinking and another way is internal linking. You can backlink and internal link your contents with the contents on similar topic and get traffic.

Internal linking means linking two or more contents within the same website.

Backlinking means linking two contents on different websites.

Many writing sites discourage backlinking. Many writing sites do not allow affiliate marketing and they discourage backlinking for the reason that it is also a kind of affiliate marketing. Since backlinking generates views, which further generates money, many writing sites discourages backlinking links.

As long as you are allowed for backlinking, you should always use this feature. Backlinking is on the benefit of writers.

It is understood that we are not allowed to share referral links or affiliate links on our posts on Blogbourne; however, how about the links to our articles on other sites?

I write on many websites and I will like to share the links.

Why I want to share links?

When link sharing is allowed, we can share links between the sites and drive traffic. Let me illustrate.

A and B site allows link sharing. I share links from A to B and from B to A.

I drive traffic from A to B and from B to A.

When visitors land on the page and likes the format of the site which he/she is visiting, he/she may even consider joining the site.

If you are not allowed to do backlinking, you can benefit from internal linking.

Link building generates unique traffic, which helps you to earn more form each post.

Actually, Vinaya, you can post referral and affiliate links on BlogBourne. We have asked users not to link to competitor sites for the time being, and that’s simply to avoid abuse. But other links are fine.

Thanks for clarifying. If we do wisely link sharing will benefit the site as well as the writers.

I believe so, as well. And we have taken some time to clarify the rule on linking to competitor sites. We will allow such links in the appropriate context. We just don’t want to see any posts that are aimed mainly at driving traffic away from BlogBourne. See the TOS for more specifics.

Kyla, thanks for coming back and clarifying the issue. I believe backlink is on the benefit of writer as well as the site.
