Gossip Addiction: Some People Excel at It

What about gossip addiction? Why do people gossip? Gossip should not be the whole conversation, but many people are addicted.

Gossip addiction: let’s take a look at these four fictitious characters based on real life situations.

Zandra Zari is 25 years old. When her sister Zoe is going to tell her some horrible, slightly scandalous gossip about her best friend, she thinks that she can’t wait to tell this to many people. Also, when she is out with her brother and this one ends up spending a few minutes arguing with his girlfriend on his cell, she sticks around and listens to every word. Also if she finds out somebody is gossiping about her, she starts gossiping about him/her. In her opinion, gossip is too tempting to resist.

Zelda Zenia is 23 years old. She believes none of what she hears and half of what she sees. When she is out with his brother and this one ends up spending a few minutes arguing with his girlfriend on his cell, she sticks around, but she dissociates herself from what it is happening.

Zenobia Zhane is 22 years old. She believes half of what she hears, and anything of what she sees. In her opinion gossip is harmless fun, it’s a pretty fun way to pass the time! She is not a big fan of gossip. If she is going to say something about someone she will just say it to their face!

Zibute Zoe is 20 years old. She believes pretty much anything she sees or hears. Also, when she is out with her brother and this one ends up spending a few minutes arguing with his girlfriend on his cell, she leaves him alone to give him some privacy. In her opinion, gossip is a waste of time.

Do you know any people who enjoy talking about others and their private lives? Sometimes gossip addiction ruins friendships and relationships. Do you agree?

Thank you.

I share your Zenobia Zhane’s approach to gossip, however, it’s a lot easier said than done. Pay particular attention to those individuals who firmly insist you tell them to their faces saying things like:”You can tell me anything, I can take it!” I have discovered that most of those are really cowards at heart and seldom can handle it. Great post, thanks. Andre’

This is one of the reasons why I detached myself from people. Since they can’t stop gossiping no matter how much you tell them to their face not to, it’s better to avoid them. Some take that personally and say I’m rude or not unfriendly and people approach me with caution.

I’d like to keep a clean conscience.

Yes, I’ve known people who gossip, but I personally think that it is wrong. It isn’t the loving attitude I want to have and it is a kind of selfishness that tends to reflect on the person that does it. A gossip also isn’t trustworthy. Who would trust a gossip with secrets?

Gossip won’t take you anywhere but word-war and eventually people will lose their trust and confidence in you if you can’t shut your mouth for some little secret. I liked how you named them. It can be like a Zzzz as in sleep when gossip starts.
