How to Overcome Failure in Our Lives?

In life we face failure and we cannot avoid that. Some people cannot accept it but we must understand that failure is a part of life.
According to Google, “Failure is the state or condition of not meeting a desirable or intended objective, and may be viewed as the opposite of success.”

How can we overcome failure in our life?

1. Understand that failure is a part of life.

No one is free from failure. Since human’s fall in the Garden of Eden, failure became a part of life and we must accept it. Even we do our best in life, still we face failure. Even in our work, you want to make the best for your group to succeed but then through out the program someone may not accept your effort and it is counted as failure. In a relationship, some people are wishing for a perfect relationship but then once in a while failure intervene.

2. Accept your failure.
There is a man who wants to be married at the age of 30. He was a messenger of China Bank here in the Philippines. He met a very young lady who was studying in her first year high school. He courted her and send them to school and finish high school then through college. But after graduating, he found out that he was two months pregnant with his best friend. He cannot understand where he fail? Seeing the two together in front of their house lovingly living, this man cannot tolerate it. One day, he was found dead hanging inside his room. We must accept that we have failure in life.

3. Failure give you wisdom
Accepting failure sometimes is very hard process, especially when you put your best effort and time like the man who lost his girlfriend. It may hard to accept but we must accept it and teach us the best lesson in life. Failure is a lesson that we can use in the future. It make us strong in accepting more failure that come on our way and give more wisdom how we deal in life.

4.Move on with your life
Don’t be a hostage of the past. Forgive your fault and move on. A failure is a lesson but we must not live on it. There are many things that we can do. We know that when we decide on something, we have lesson to look unto. Move on with our life with wisdom how to deal situation and relationship.

No one is free from failure, even the apostle Peter who said he loves Jesus for three times but when Jesus was on trial, he denied him thrice but then knowing his failure, he accept his failure and move on and became a strongest apostle of God. He was a failure but when he comes to Jesus, He was restored. We too will be restored once we come in the presence of God. Without Christ in our life, it’s hard to move on. Our hope is in God.

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Have FAITH in God and everything is going to be alright.

I become open-minded with failure because I am a failure. I have more failures than success. I treat it as a good teacher. It is my warning, my red flag. I always remember it to avoid it. What important is, you need to learn from your failures.

Someone once said to me “there are no failures, only learning experiences.”This has been helpful to remember.

Failure is an illusion. It is a way to blame ourselves for not living up to some artificial standard. “There is no spoon,” as the wise child in the movie, The Matrix, said. “It is the mind that bends.” Failure lives in the mind. What we believe is what we are.

Failure is an opposite of success. To go straight in attaining success, everyone must study those failures he encountered. Failures are not permanent if he ready to get rid of them.
