Personal Information on the Internet

I don’t feel comfortable to share personal information on the internet. Even on facebook, I don’t share my personal pictures too much. I love my privacy and I’m much concerned about my online security. I try to control what is appropriate to share and what is not.

Having said that I never remain anonymous online, I use my real name and photo everywhere. On every websites where I have account, whether Pay To Click websites or Pay to Write websites, , Online Forum, niche content websites, Social Networks, Social Bookmarking, I use my real identity (my real name, real location and real photo).

Real Identity Vs Anonymous Identity

Real identity means using real photo, real name and real location. Anonymous identity means having pen name (username), using someone else’s photo, or pictures of things, as the profile picture and not revealing the location.

I respect the choice of the individuals who love to remain anonymous on World Wide Web, and use pen names on niche content sites, blogging sites and social media. I also respect people who reveal real identity on the internet. Using real identity does not mean you reveal everything on the internet.

I use my real name, real location and actual profile photo across multiple online platforms. The reason why I use my real identity is it helps people to identify me as a real person, and not an online popsicle.

What’s your story?

Hi@vinaya, That’s good but when you say in your last Para “I use my real name, real location and actual profile photo across multiple online platforms”, I could not see that here. That’s what I pointed out.

I understand. I had always used my real photo and real identity, however, here I am using my book cover. I may have my real photo someday.
