Squidoo: The Great Writing Site That Fell

I made my first money online by writing on Helium. Later I began exploring other opportunities and joined Hubpages. I have been writing on HubPages since a long time. I know this site better than any other writing sites. I learned the craft of online writing on HubPages.

I also created account on Squidoo at the time I joined Hubpages. Since I could not understand the nuances of this content site and did not earn even a dollar in many months, I terminated my account to focus my online writing career on HubPages.

Since I was looking for writing sites where I can make stable income, I joined many sites and deleted my accounts on the site that did not work for me.

Squidoo was a writing site where you could make money by publishing original contents and doing affiliate marketing. Squidoo also shut down in 2014. I joined Squidoo and Hubpges in 2010. Since I liked Hubpages format, I spent more time on Hubpages and abandoned Squidoo. Before I deleted my Squidoo account, I have half a dozen articles on Squidoo and I had already accumulated 1000 views. I created another account on Squidoo in the beginning of 2014. Since my earnings on other sites were dropping, I was looking for other options to make money by writing online. Squidoo was one of the best content sites in the World Wide Web. However, I had just published three articles when the site decided to shut down.

Oh boy, I feel like we are in the same group of sites 🙂 I was on Squidoo too, but I didn’t make a go of that site. I earned very little, and I decided to donate my earnings to charity and out I went. What’s next: Triond? LOL

I think we were on same sites. I was also on Triond. I earned so little that I had to quite the site. The support was worse on the site.

Even though I did not earn on squidoo, I had friends who were earning good money on the site.

I still miss sites like Squidoo, Hubpages, Triond, Yahoo etc despite having low earning. Staying in top 80 was always a challenge on Squidoo!
