Adventure with Comcast Cable

My lovely adventure with Comcast Cable. Well, as crazy as I am, I walked the hour back to the cable company to change the box. Yes, I did have everything hooked up right. That wasn’t the problem. People don’t use Dvd players anymore. That is what they told me. In other words, I can’t hook my DVD player up to the cable. Well, we will just see what happens.

I had to call to get a signal sent to the box so it would start. This time, I had to talk to two different people, and it’s still not working. I had to reboot the box even after the guy told, me I would not have to. This whole thing is driving me crazy. I always seem to have a problem when I am doing this. I do pray everything goes through all right.

I did better with it than I did before this time I had to enter my phone number and it did look like it was going to work. Then all of a sudden the screen went blank. I guy told me to take back the box and ask for a downgrade to a smaller box without HD. I should still get my son’s on demand.

Now, I have to go back there tomorrow because they are closed now. I would not walk back up there tonight, anyway. I do wish there was another option to Comcast, but they are the only game in town for us.

I am Not the only One

They open at 10 am tomorrow so I will leave here a little before 9 am to get there before the gets too packed. I am not the only one having problems. They changed their boxes, and it seems like everyone is having problems with them. The Comcast building was packed when I was there the second time today. It was filled with annoyed people over having to come back two and three times. There was this one lady that just throw her box on the counter. She told the guy to cancel her account. She was very angry. And so goes my adventure with Comcast Cable. I will let everyone know, ow it goes tomorrow.

    I hate comcast….I’m not sure there are many things I hate more than comcast. I knew I hated it and I ordered it again when I moved to this apartment a few years ago – after having lived without the headache for many years. I had it for about 2 1/2 years before hating it even more than before.

    Good luck to you. I hope you get it sorted out.

    Aww that explains everything. I hate Comcast as well. They was the cable company i was with before. There customer service is the worst and service isn’t that much better.

      I know and they are driving me crazy the worse part is I spent most of my day dealing with these people and I had not had a chance to write any articles for my blogs.

    Comcast is awful … We finally had a competitor come in , they are Comcast jr., but I don’t think I could ever go back to Comcast no matter what deal they offer.

    I don’t use cable, I use DTH (Direct To Home) service. However, for years I used cable connection.

    It makes me glad that I don’t have comcast. Our only choices are DirecTV, Dish or Blackfoot communications, with the last one being the only true cable outfit in town. I don’t have the TV package, but my Internet is through Blackfoot. Incidentally, quite a few people still have DVD players and use them. Still, when the guy told you that nobody used them anymore, I think I would have said something like, “I don’t appreciate being called a nobody.” Basically, that was exactly what he did.

    The company we have here changed things too. It is a mess, has always be a mess and like you. we would love to have an option. Wait, we do. Have nothing to do w/the cable company! But, here is the issue where we are-they are the Internet provider for our area also, so we are still stuck with that.
