Bad Anxiety Day Today

Approximately 40 million American adults ages 18 and up, suffer from anxiety. I’m one of those lucky 40 million. And it’s not fun.

Today has not been a good day, anxiety wise. It started out about 5am this morning. I woke up from a dream – a normal dream, not a bad dream or nightmare – my heart was racing, about to beat out of my chest, and I had a horrible, pounding headache. I sat on the couch for a few minutes, trying to get everything to stop. I popped some Advil and went back to sleep.

But when I got up for the day, I’ve still been feeling anxious. I’m all jittery and fidgety. Still have the headache so I drank a soda for the caffeine but the caffeine didn’t help with my anxiety any. I’m trying to resist taking a pill for my anxiety but I may have to. I listened to some classical music and that’s helped some. I’ve been trying to take it easy today. Did some cleaning but not much. Just trying to relax and help it go away on it’s own.

    @brendamarie I do have two furbabies that help! There is a game website I play on that helps things. I need to grab some crayons and a coloring book (although not the expensive adult ones, lol) to see if that helps me as well.

    I do have it but I think not the one that is very severe. What I do to help myself is to the EFT tapping technique for Anxiety. There are lots at YouTube.
