I Don’t Do Mondays!

I Don’t Do Mondays!

I don’t do Mondays is a saying that was made popular by a cartoon cat named Garfield. I for one live by this saying. Mondays are packed for me as it is, I refuse to do even more. I never make any appointment for Mondays.

Much to do on Mondays

Mondays are the busiest days of the week for me. Mondays are usually the hardest day of the week to get things started. While, I don’t have a hard time getting started on Mondays, the rest of my family does. This is where being a wife and mother takes charge. My family are a bunch of night people. We all like to be up late at night. This makes it harder to wake up on Monday morning. Everyone seems to be going in slow motion on Mondays. I have to push everyone to get done what they need to do.

While am I trying to get my family going, I will write an article or two. Once they are all set for the day, that is when my day really begins. I do a load of wash, check my email and writing sites. Once that is done, I will do some housework. I kind of go through a cycle of writing, reading, posting and housework throughout my whole day.

On Mondays, I wash towels and clean the two bathrooms good. I usually end up having to wash dishes as well. I almost forgot about the dog. I take her for a long walk in the morning. When we get back, I feed her and will play with her for awhile. During the summer we go for our long walks in the morning.

Mondays are busy days for me. I have so much work to get done. I do like even to have to think about anything else on Mondays. I try and make all my appointment for any other day. Even the clients that I write, I try and make the deadlines for later in the week. Do you have busy Mondays?

No, I usually don’t have busy Mondays. but today it’s gonna be pretty busy. I got to do housework, that I didn’t get to yesterday and going to do some writing and work on other projects I have been putting off. Hopefully, I will get it all done. But usually doesn’t work out that way 🙂

Sometimes, I think I plan on doing way too much in one day. I often get made at myself if I don’t finish all that I want to get done.

Before, I am really negative during Mondays, but right now since I am not working and staying home, I can’t even noticed it is Monday already.

I am not negative about Mondays or at least I wasn’t trying to be. I am just very busy on Mondays. It seems like I have a lot more work to do than the other days.

As for the wash. I do one load a night. As the dryer heats the house up. Everything else I tend to do little by little.

For me, Monday is just another day. However, it is the first day of our daughter’s three day weekends (except that she was called in to work tonight), so we often end up going out fishing, which we did today. That is what really makes the day hectic for me, because when I get home, I still try to get everything done that I would normally do if I wasn’t out goofing off. lol

Perhaps not, but I do that at home, too. I enjoy fishing, just as she does, and I’m not really accomplishing anything. I’m also not working in any way. That is why I call it goofing off. 🙂 That doesn’t mean that it isn’t worthwhile or that I don’t need to have some relaxation once in a while, too, just that I’m not accomplishing a great deal.
