Ronald McDonald Staying out of Sight, Due to Creepy Clown Panic

Any one that has ever heard of the Golden Arches, also knows Ronald McDonald, with his bright yellow outfit, red shaggy hair and big red shoes. He has entertained children for decades. Now sadly, your cheeseburger and fries will not come with glimpses of this iconic clown. McDonald’s has decided to keep Ronald out of sight for a while.

Blame the Creepy Clowns

It’s a sad day when an honest clown like Ronald McDonald can’t stand around and entertain children, but McDonalds fear that the image of a clown is no longer a happy one, thanks to all the creepy clown sightings that have been happening since August.

They have said that out of respect for all of those who are in fear of clowns right now, they will not display the iconic Ronald McDonald statues, nor will Ronald McDonald make many public appearances. Perhaps it is even a good marketing strategy not to have such a scary image so closely identified with their product right now.

Professional Clowns Follow Ronald’s Lead

It may not be by choice, but a lot of other professional clowns are having to hang up their big noses and floppy feet now too, in wake of the creepy clown sightings. Clowns used to be a favorite at children’s birthday parties, but parents are no longer interested in having clowns around their children because of the wide spread panic of all the creepy clowns that have been reported.

Some say it is silly, and that all this clown hysteria is just a bunch of people playing pranks. But, without knowing that for sure, parents aren’t willing to take any chances, so clowns are not welcome at children’s parties right now. Besides many adults, too, are afraid of clowns and this creepy clown craze has aggravated that condition.

What’s the Story on These Clowns?

Everyone is speculating about the creepy clown sightings. There are rumors that say anything from just kids pulling pranks, to marketing schemes, to even, plain old hysteria. People have been reporting clown sightings since back in the 1980’s, but now with the internet and social media sites, the tales can spread much faster.

But, gossip is still gossip and we all know gossip grows as it spreads. One sighting of an innocent clown can suddenly turn into 3 sightings and the clown gets creepier as the tale is told. Let’s just hope, the clown mania dies out soon so that people won’t be looking over their shoulder for a crazed clown everywhere they go.

Then, just maybe Ronald McDonald can go back to work!

So sad for all the professional clowns and for children too. here in my country, my children decided not to attend the yearly trick or treat because of the news that’s been going on in social media. My daughter said she won’t go because there might l be a clown.

There have been various reports on the news here about the clowns some fear. It seems some of what is told is true, while other things are just not. Imagine being a professional clown and having to hide?

I know, it’s all crazy. There are reports from all over the US about creepy clowns. Now I have been seeing reports of them popping up in the UK. I just can’t figure out the purpose. I am sure some reports are fabricated.

Yes, I suspect a big portion of them are pranks, but then there are some using a clown disguise to hide illegal activities. I heard bank robbers are even taking to clown make up now.

It’s a shame that an iconic symbol of fun has been trashed. Clowns have been around entertaining children and adults for decades. Now, good clowns are getting a bad rap due to this current “creepy clown” behavior. I guess I’ll never look or trust a clown again. Sad!

It is a shame. Think of all the professional clowns who probably can’t get work now because kids are afraid of them. Parents even have to worry about who is a good clown and who is up to no good. I am sure I wouldn’t want a clown anywhere near my child right now.

Those creepy clown incident hasn’t reached yet in our country. If there’s, it is only very limited. But children, especially school children love to see the clowns.

Yes it is a shame that kids are now becoming afraid of clowns because of all the talk of the creepy ones. I hope it settles down and goes away soon.

It will soon out of circulation when a movie industry will produce a film about the clowns who play heroic deeds.
