Setting up my WAH business…

I’ve worked from home for the past 10 years, but really what I enjoy doing most is mystery shopping and merchandising. These aren’t really home businesses, but they are home based businesses. To me it’s a good way to get out and know the neighborhood and people around you too. While I’ll admit that I do somewhat like to keep to myself, I also like having friends – weird, but true.

While we won’t be around much this weekend and things will be really busy, I plan to get my business set up. Fortunately, I did all the research prior to leaving PGH. I just need to submit all the forms and such and then I can start working. With any luck, I’ll have all of this done by the end of the weekend and then next week I can start picking up jobs. I do have to schedule around a bunch of other stuff I have going on, but the pay makes it worth it.

Do you realize that you can make really good money doing this work? Of course, as with any other job you have to make sure you’re set up with the right companies and don’t fall for scams. However, if you’re interested in this type of work, which fits nicely around a “self-built” ministry, then you may want to do some research/homework in this regard.

I have never really done Mystery shopping, but I have heard, providing you get with a reputable company, that you can make a nice income with it. I may consider looking into that. Any recommendations?

I have always been interested in this kind of work. Since, I don’t have a vehicle. I can’t do it. As my boyfriend uses the only vehicle we have to work.

Marie there are a lot of good companies listed on and I’ll be talking more about it on my blog,

Sandy, it’s not as bad as you’d think. If your bf works a stable shift (e.g. 9 – 5) you could work evenings. There’s a large need for that.
