The Success In Blog Engagement

The Success In Blog Engagement

For the seasoned writers, this is something that they know for a long time. Being able to connect to the readers, a blogger/writer needs to take time to interact with the readers for various purposes:

  • Whatever topic has been written about gets a bigger chance of getting more traffic to the site by encouraging several others to join in
  • When there is an increase in traffic, it also helps the site to earn, assuming that the site has used Adsense, for example.
  • With people engaging in a good conversation, an exchange of ideas and additional information can be helpful to the whole community.
  • When your reader participates and has provided you some great insights, it can be your material for your next post.

You liven up your post/blog when you respond to comments left by your readers. This makes your readers feel that they are being valued because you take time to react to whatever comment they have left you, whether they are good or bad, learn from it.

When you always try to reach out to your readers, you encourage several others to join with the conversation and that would be a start of something big for you.

Example, when a writer/blogger posts something about parenting, for sure there would be tons of other valuable information that your readers may add to your post. Your readers, in a way, help you, too.

One great way of encouraging your readers is to ask what their thoughts are about what you have written.

Your online success will greatly depend on so many factors, but the most important thing is that your readers should feel that behind the post is a real human being whom they can communicate with.

I like your last phrase:the most important thing is that your readers should feel that behind the post is a real human being whom they can communicate with. Lovely!

Thank you, Ceci! As much as possible I do like to post something that people can really be encouraged to react to. As a matter of fact, I have become friends to several co-writers from different sites because we have always exchanged our views on different posts. They have become my “virtual buddies”.

Thank you so much for appreciating my simple post. I aim to help those aspiring writers we have on this site so I can fully encourage them to write more and learn how to relay their message to their readers and eventually help with the success of their posts. Well, not necessarily just on this site but if/when they decide to have their own blog sites.

Yes, you are right because there are so many people who wish to make use of the internet as their means of earning no matter how small they can be.

You’ve got really great instincts for web writing, Jenny! I think you make an excellent point when you say that readers’ comments can inspire subsequent posts. All the more reason to read those comments!
